Community Guidelines

Last reviewed: June 2026

DRAFT. This document describes how Sanctuary actually operates today. It has not yet been reviewed by qualified legal counsel and is not a substitute for legal advice. Review with counsel before relying on it at public scale.

Sanctuary is a soft place on purpose. These guidelines exist so it stays that way for the next person who walks in.

What we ask of you

  • Lead with care. Assume the person on the other end is having a harder day than you can see.
  • Speak from your own life. Share your experience, not someone else's identity.
  • Hold confidence. What is shared here is not for screenshots, group chats, or outside platforms.
  • Let silence count. Lighting a candle, a quiet voice note, a single sentence of presence — these are full responses.

What we don't allow

  • Harassment, threats, or targeted cruelty. Including dog-piling, mockery of another member's pain, or coordinated attacks.
  • Doxxing. Posting another person's address, phone number, employer, or any information that could be used to find them offline.
  • Hate. Slurs or dehumanizing speech about race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or immigration status.
  • Sexual content involving minors. Reported immediately to the relevant authorities. No exceptions, no warnings.
  • Non-consensual sexual content. Including image-based abuse and unsolicited explicit content.
  • Promotion of self-harm or suicide. If you are struggling, please read Crisis Resources. Sharing your own experience is welcome; coaching another person toward harm is not.
  • Violence. Glorification of, or specific incitement to, violence against a person or group.
  • Spam, scams, MLM, or aggressive advertising. Including DMs that exist only to sell.
  • Impersonation. Pretending to be a specific other person or claiming credentials you do not hold.

Special note on voice

Voice carries identity in a way text does not. When you record, assume your voice could outlive your account. Do not share voice content that identifies third parties without their consent.

How we enforce

We do not run public dashboards of warnings or strikes. Privacy applies to enforcement, too. In practice:

  • Minor first violations usually result in content removal and a quiet note to the author.
  • Repeat violations, or any violation that put another member at risk, result in a temporary mute or permanent ban without negotiation.
  • Threats of violence, sexual content involving minors, or coordinated harassment result in immediate ban and, where relevant, contact with law enforcement.

How to report

Every piece of content has a report control. Reports go to the moderation team only — never to the author. You can also email safety@auraversesanctuary.life for anything urgent.

If a guideline gets in your way

Tell us. These rules exist for people; if one is hurting more than helping, we want to know.
